My primary inspiration for art and jewelry is the material I so love, metal. This leads to a mechanized aesthetic showing through my work, often including rivets, screws, and cranks. My artwork varies as I pull inspiration from historical machinery and ancient societies. I focus primarily on jewelry, but often work on large steel fabrications.
My current lines of jewelry are inspired by industrial revolution factory steam engines, imitating their massive steel parts in precious metals. Lately I have been fascinated by glass lenses, which nicely complement the industrial aspects I lean towards. Although my influences and experiences will be forever changing, my one constant is metalwork in its many forms.
